In most cases, this rule will apply to all employees but it can be set up to apply to groups as well (such as a business rule group) when it does not need to apply to all employees.

 

Below is a sample screenshot of the two Business Rules for a customer site:

 

 

Description on Site: Do not allow employee to charge to anything other than leave in advance (future timesheet).

When this rule is in effect, it restricts employees from charging Hours Worked or IN/OUT punches on future dated timesheets. If an employee attempts to submit time in the future, they will receive the message “You are not allowed to enter in/out time for future timesheet.

The employee attempted to enter time for the Timesheet that started on August 9 th, even though it was only August 8 th.
