Business Rules for this setting:
Restrict Employee From Time Entered on Future Days
Restrict Employees to Charge in Advance
In most cases, this rule will apply to all employees but it can be set up to apply to groups as well (such as a business rule group) when it does not need to apply to all employees.
Below is a sample screenshot of the two Business Rules for a customer site:
Description on Site: Do not allow employee to charge to anything other than leave in advance (future timesheet).
When this rule is in effect, it restricts employees from charging Hours Worked or IN/OUT punches on future dated timesheets. If an employee attempts to submit time in the future, they will receive the message “You are not allowed to enter in/out time for future timesheet.”
The employee attempted to enter time for the Timesheet that started on August 9
th, even though it was only August 8
th.
