When TFTP is not enabled, there are two options for getting access to this feature. Refer to the instructions below.
- You can enable TFTP on the customer's computer, which requires admin access.
- Go to the Control Panel on the customer's computer.
- Go to the Programs and Features item.
- Select Turn Windows Features on or off link.
- A list will appear.
- Scroll down to the TFTP client feature.
- Select the TFTP Client checkbox.
- This will take a few moments to enable.
- Select the OK button.
- You can use the “TFTP.exe” file found in the “New Support Internal Wiki”.
- Open the “\\gsc\eems$\Support\New Support Wiki\Clocks – G1, G2, HP, IVR“ folder.
- Find the “TFTP.exe” file.
- Place this file on the customer's computer.
- If the computer’s firewall is blocking the TFTP application, you can turn off Windows Firewall or allow TFTP as follows:
- Click Start and in the Search for Programs and Files text box, type firewall, and press Enter.
- In the search results, click Windows Firewall.
- If the Windows Firewall is enabled, the Windows Firewall state will be "on."
- To turn it off, click Change settings or Turn Windows Firewall on or off in the left column.
You can now use the TFTP feature in the command prompt.
