# Enabling TFTP on a Windows Computer
When TFTP is not enabled, there are two options for getting access to this feature. Refer to the instructions below.
1. You can enable TFTP on the customer's computer, which requires admin access.
1. Go to the **Control Panel** on the customer's computer.
2. Go to the **Programs and Features** item.
3. Select **Turn Windows Features on or off** link.
4. A list will appear.
5. Scroll down to the **TFTP client** feature.
6. Select the **TFTP Client** checkbox.
7. This will take a few moments to enable.
8. Select the **OK** button.
2. You can use the “TFTP.exe” file found in the “New Support Internal Wiki”.
1. Open the “\\\\gsc\\eems$\\Support\\New Support Wiki\\Clocks – G1, G2, HP, IVR“ folder.
2. Find the “TFTP.exe” file.
3. Place this file on the customer's computer.
3. If the computer’s firewall is blocking the TFTP application, you can turn off Windows Firewall or allow TFTP as follows:
1. Click **Start** and in the Search for **Programs and Files** text box, type **firewall**, and press **Enter**.
2. In the search results, click **Windows Firewall**.
3. If the Windows Firewall is enabled, the Windows Firewall state will be "on."
4. To turn it off, click **Change settings** or **Turn Windows Firewall on or off** in the left column.
You can now use the TFTP feature in the command prompt.
