This article summarizes the News Management page and how it can be used to create messages all users see after logging into your TeamKeeper site.
Users with the Administrator role can go to Administrator -> News -> News Management
Your current and past news items are located on the left hand side. Selecting it opens it on the right hand side where you can edit it.
To create a new News item while another is selected on the right-hand side, click the 'New' button.
When creating a News item, you have the following fields:
Title (required) - This will display in bold above the news item on the home page.
Start Date (required) - This will be the first day that the news item shows on the homepage of the site. News items can be given a future start date allowing them to be created ahead of time.
End Date (required) - This is the last day that the news item will appear on on the home page of the site.
Sort Order - This allows you to control the order that news items display on your site's home page. If left unordered, they will appear in the order that they were created.
Text - This is the actual message that appears below the Title on your site's home page.
Example:
Adding Links to News Items:
1. Highlight the text you want to make a link and then press the hyperlink button.
2. Enter the URL in the pop up window and press okay.
3. Press the save button at the bottom of the page.
Adding Pictures to News Items:
Pictures can be added to the "Text" field directly by either dragging and dropping the picture into the "Text" field or by using Ctrl + c and Ctrl + v.
Adding Videos to News Items:
Videos can be added to the home page of TeamKeeper but they must be added through HTML. Click on the Source Editor button.
Enter the video HTML and press save at the bottom of the page.
